Transition To Work and Outreach Programs Receive Grants

We are thrilled to announce that We Care Arts has recently received three generous grants that will significantly enhance our programs and extend our reach to more students. These funds will help us continue our mission of empowering individuals through art and community, providing essential support to students with special needs, and expanding our virtual capabilities.

East Dayton Optimist Club Grant: $500 for Belmont High School's Transition To Work Program

The East Dayton Optimist Club has awarded us a $500 grant to support the Transition To Work (TTW) program at Belmont High School. This state-established program is designed to assist students with special needs, aged 16 to 22, in navigating the transition from high school to employment and independent living. At We Care Arts, we enhance this vital in-school program by offering weekly art classes that reinforce essential life and job skills.

Our art classes are provided at no cost to the students, schools, or districts. Each participating student receives an individual bag filled with all the necessary art supplies for their projects, along with a corresponding teacher bag. To ensure a comprehensive learning experience, we also provide YouTube instructional video links for each art project in the kit. Thanks to the East Dayton Optimist Club, we can continue to make a meaningful impact on the lives of these students.

Piqua Community Foundation Grant: $1,000 for Outreach and TTW

We are also grateful to the Piqua Community Foundation for awarding us a $1,000 grant to support both our Outreach and Transition To Work programs. This funding will allow us to expand our reach and provide vital services to more individuals and schools in need. By bolstering these programs, we can continue to offer creative and educational opportunities that foster self-expression, build confidence, and teach essential skills that are crucial for future success.

Green Giving Grant: $1,000 for Virtual Classes

In our ongoing effort to embrace technology and reach a wider audience, we are excited to announce that Green Giving has provided us with a $1,000 grant for the purchase of a new computer. Having a dedicated computer to deliver interactive and engaging art classes online will greatly enhance our virtual capapbilities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the East Dayton Optimist Club, the Piqua Community Foundation, and Green Giving for their generous support. These grants are a testament to the incredible work that we do at We Care Arts and the positive impact we have on our community. We are excited to see how these funds will enhance our programs and help us continue to change lives through the power of art.

Thank you for being a part of our journey, and stay tuned for more updates on how we are utilizing these grants to make a difference!
